The United States is currently using several new and advanced weapons in the conflict with Iran. This war has turned into a major testing ground for the latest military technology. Many of these weapons are seeing action for the very first time. Military leaders are watching closely to see how these systems work in real battle. From cheap drones to expensive stealth jets, the scale of this deployment is huge. It represents the largest use of weaponry by a single nation so far in the 21st century.

The Rise of the Lucas Drone
One of the most interesting new weapons is the Lucas drone. Its full name is the low-cost uncrewed combat attack system. Most people just call it the Lucas drone for short. This machine is a kamikaze drone. That means it flies long distances and then explodes when it hits its target.

The Lucas drone has a very unique history. It is actually modeled on an Iranian design called the Shihad. US forces captured the Iranian drones and studied them. Engineers pulled the internal parts out and replaced them with American technology. They essentially sent the design back to America to improve it. Now, these drones are back in the Middle East with a "Made in America" label.

Why the Lucas Drone Matters
Cost is a big factor in modern war. Each Lucas drone costs about $35,000. While that sounds like a lot of money, it is very cheap for a high-tech weapon. These drones are considered indispensable because they can do a lot of damage without costing millions of dollars. They allow the military to strike many targets at once without breaking the budget.

High-Tech Missiles and Precision Strikes
The US Army is also using its new precision strike missile for the first time. This weapon is designed to hit targets with extreme accuracy. It has a very long range of more than 500 kilometers. This allows the military to stay far away from danger while still hitting the enemy hard.

The precision strike missile targets critical infrastructure. This includes things like power plants, bridges, or command centers. However, these missiles are not cheap. Each one costs $1.6 million. The military uses them when they need to be sure a specific, important target is destroyed.

New Tomahawk Missile Variants
Along with the new Army missiles, the Navy is using a new version of the Tomahawk cruise missile. Tomahawks have been around for a long time, but this new variant is updated for today’s battles. These missiles cost $2 million each. They are a key part of the standoff weaponry strategy. Standoff weaponry lets the US attack from a safe distance, often from ships or submarines located out at sea.

Advanced Stealth and Air Combat
The F-35 fighter jet is often called the most advanced stealth plane in the world. Even though the design is 20 years old, it is still proving its worth. In the Iran conflict, an Israeli version of the F-35 made history. It shot down another jet in air-to-air combat over Iran. This was a major milestone for the aircraft.

The F-35 is a lethal weapon, but it comes with a high price tag. One single F-35 costs
